Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Had some left over bananas and chocolate chips…this is a must try recipe.

1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup softened butter
1 egg
1/3 cup sour cream
4-5 very riped bananas
1 tbs cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
2 1/4 cup flour
1 1/4 cup cocoa powder
2 cups chocolate chips


  1. Beat the sugars and butter together.
  2. Beat in egg
  3. Beat in bananas, sour cream and vanilla. I used a hand mixer on high at this point. You may want to mash bananas prior.
  4. Mix in salt, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, flour and cocoa powder.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips. May want to save a few chocolate chips and top each cupcake with 3 -5 extra before baking.
  6. Preheat oven to 350, line cupcake foils and fill. Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
